West Hartford is a suburban town about five miles west of downtown Hartford, bounded on the west by the Metacomet Ridge. Northeast Generator sizes, installs, and services Generac, Kohler, and other major standby generators for homes and businesses across West Hartford, from West Hartford Center, Elmwood, Bishops Corner, and Blue Back Square. Our Bridgeport-based crews serve West Hartford along I-84 and Route 4, and we install natural gas units where the utility already serves the property and propane when the site calls for it. With 60+ years of experience, our team responds within 2 hours anywhere in our service area. Start with a free site visit or call 1-800-972-4264. We also serve nearby communities including Bloomfield, Avon, New Britain, Canton, Berlin, and Glastonbury.
West Hartford is an Eversource town in Hartford County, with the Metacomet Ridge along its west side and a high point of 778 feet on Talcott Mountain. Lots range from closely set neighborhood homes to larger hillside properties, so we plan pad placement, setbacks and the fuel connection around each one. The installed generator starts automatically and keeps heat, refrigeration, sump pumps and other must-run circuits working.
From West Hartford Center to Elmwood and Prospect Hill, a permanently installed generator protects a home whether you are in it or away. Our crews install and service Generac, Kohler and other major brands in West Hartford, with 24/7 emergency support.
Shops, restaurants, offices and town facilities in West Hartford can stay open through outages with commercial standby sized for the loads that matter. Facility sizing is covered during the same free site visit we use for homes. We also service RV and marine generators for West Hartford owners.
The October 2011 nor’easter buried West Hartford’s roads in storm debris, more than 338,000 cubic yards of it, and FEMA later awarded the town $5,505,854 to clear it. Tropical Storm Isaias in August 2020 affected 56 roads in town, according to NBC Connecticut. When that many trees and limbs come down, power lines come down with them, and a standby generator keeps your home running through the cleanup.
Connecticut Natural Gas is the gas utility for West Hartford. We confirm on the site visit whether a gas line reaches your property and has the capacity to run a generator, and where it doesn’t we install and size a propane tank. Permits are issued through the West Hartford Building Department, and our project managers handle the applications and inspections.
Preferential scheduling, twice-yearly preventative maintenance and 24/7 emergency repair under a service agreement keep West Hartford generators ready for early snowstorms and summer weather. Call 1-800-972-4264 anytime the unit will not start.

We have relied on Northeast Generator for 14 years and their service, pricing and fairness is excellent. We recently sold our home and the generator ATS panel failed 10 days before closing. NE and in particular, Addison, went out of his way to find and secure a compatible unit at a reasonable price and got it installed and tested with a couple of days to spare. I would definitely use them for generator related needs especially since I've heard horror stories from friends who went with other providers.
Read on GoogleNortheast Generator is a first-class operation. We've been using them for annual service since installation almost 10 years ago. They arrive on-time and do a quality service of our unit. The generator is obviously something that must be kept n good-working order. Servicing the unit cannot be done when the power goes out!! I'm happy to have a trustworthy vendor do the annual tune-up required.
Read on GoogleNortheast Generator installed my Generac 20kw Standby Generator almost 14 years ago, and have always provided great service. Most recently ants got into my generator's control panel requiring it to essentially be rebuilt. When Northeast was done, the generator was like new. Always a reasonable response time when responding to any issues, which is so important, especially if you live where power can go out any time.
Read on GoogleI have been using Northeast Generator for a number of years. Always a very professional, timely and courteous service. Never had a problem or an unresolved issue.
Read on GoogleNortheast Generator did a great job on my Kohler 20RCA install! The biggest part of the job was handled by Angelo and Bob, and they were just terrific! Knowledgeable, courteous and personable. When they did not have an answer, they knew who to call to get the answer quickly. Brian and Max also helped to provide top-notch service. I could not be happier with Northeast Generator!
Read on GoogleWe recently moved into a house with a Northeast Generator. When I called to inquire about servicing and maintenance they answered all my questions thoroughly and clearly. It was a smooth process to keep service up to date. They just completed the first service and the tech was knowledgable and took the time to go over everything. A great experience from start to finish.
Read on GoogleWe switched to Northeast Generator this past year after having bad service from another company. Northeast came highly recommended and I agree with the recommendation. They are very easy to work with, having great communications and scheduling, and are very knowledgeable. We are very happy that they are servicing our generator
